CIE EUROPE/ORIENT SOURCES – Dong Guan, China and Hong Kong
$30 million annual sales leading European supplier of branded fashionable houseware products specializing in vacuum storage, with over 50 employees. Orient Sources is the CIE Hong Kong trading company. Red Home is the Chinese factory in which CIE is a partner.
Plant Co-Manager, Red Home Storage and Organization Factory (January 2011 – January 2012)
• Successfully implemented French/Chinese joint venture to operate and manage a 350-employee facility for manufacturing plastic houseware products.
• Co- managed and improved daily plant operations and manufacturing processes.
• Established independent financial auditing system to satisfy tough French financial standards.
• Managed international customer relations, quality assurance and, the sourcing of components and raw materials within China leading to rapid customer base and plant expansion without loss of quality..
THE NEXT MARKET/Z3-LLC. – Hangzhou and Dong Guan, China
The Next Market was a consultancy group who introduced products and technologies to the US market.
Z3-LLC, a Detroit based investment group, acquired The Next Market in 2009.
Vice President of Product Development for Calvin Klein Furniture (February 2008 – April 2010)
• Managed and improved the Calvin Klein business relationships in China with the management teams from furniture licensee Shayne Industries for upholstery and Alexandre International for case goods, resulting in timely delivery of prototypes and conversion of prototypes into their production phase.
• Hands-on daily management of case goods and upholstered furniture collections from design through production phases achieving on-time delivery with production level finish quality.
• Project managed 5 model Jeep Office Seating collection from re-design through production delivering an improved collection on time and under budget.
Vice President of Sales and Marketing – Livonia, Michigan (February 2000 - February 2008)
• Recruited by the former President of Code Alarm.
• Program managed audio/video, and contract office furniture programs from Europe and Asia, including (licensed) Jeep office seating from program inception through delivery and sales.
• Developed and executed growth strategies for new and existing domestic markets by researching, sourcing and launching new products, brands, and technologies from Europe and Asia.
• Developed and implemented both business to business and consumer based marketing and sales programs from original creative through final execution and delivery of materials and packaging.
