- To assist Engine Officer on work around Engine Room.

- To check Parameters and Temperature of M/E, A/E and other Machineries.

- To report any Abnormalities of machineries and all potentially hazardous conditions in engine room to Duty Engine Officer.

- To stand engine room watches.

- To maintain Cleanliness in Engine Room.

- To carry out vessel and equipment cleaning and painting duties.

- To help on Paper works (Pre-departure Checklist, Fuel Consumption, etc.)

- To assist in loading, unloading, discharging, or receipt of any and all equipment, supplies and cargo.

- To be thoroughly familiar with assigned duties for drills and emergencies.
