Worked at Volkswagen’s research and development facilities collecting, updating, and organizing software information for electric and hybrid electric vehicles aiding in the creation of software programs. Held telephone conferences to gather and confirm information needed for the new software versions.

Assisted with various projects such as creating and editing PowerPoint presentations and translating documents from German to English for coworkers working on international projects.

Gave coworkers a chance to learn about themselves and make positive associations with the company by programming questionnaires with Visual Basic for Applications.

Carried out a market analysis on the North American automobile market to which a PowerPoint presentation could be constructed and presented (in German) over the market analysis. This gave the German coworkers an American perspective on Volkswagen in the US and served as motivation to start future projects in the US.

Worked on various projects using a lean six sigma framework to improve the performance in a distribution center. Initiatives to reduce logistics costs include:

Analyzed data with Microsoft Access to prepare the relocation of products into new racking areas saving time on the operators’ pick paths.

Planning the movement of products from one warehouse to another allowing the company to discontinue renting a warehouse.

Measured the dimensions of products coming in on trucks in the receiving docks so that future trucks could be more optimally loaded.

Spent time analyzing work schedule Excel spreadsheets to look for correlations between various employee attributes and production and to see how many total workman hours were spent on projects.
