Besides liberal arts and common core classes, learned about basic electricity and electronics. Also was part of the Robotics team in school. Participated in hours of lab applying text book theory to actual physical applications in the lab.

Receive verbal and/or written work orders and instructions from supervisor. Review and analyze complex schematic drawings to determine work to be done, methods and sequence

of tasks. Run and terminate Cat 3, Cat 5e, Cat 6, Coax, and Fiber cables. Wire up RJ 11 and 48 and punch down at Krone, 66 pair, 110, and 24 port patch panels. Perform various types of construction operations which all require heavy physical labor and lifting. Required to follow standards and practices while meeting service deadlines. Perform housekeeping duties for assigned Company vehicles and various work locations for the safety of the employee and protection of the facilities under construction. Communicate and coordinate with other work groups to perform test on work in progress or completed work and obtains additional information regarding work assignment. Perform preventative maintenance on all assigned company tools, and equipment. Respond to customer inquires about products, work operations, etc. during field contacts. Use hand tools to connect wires to terminals and to attach and detach various kinds of hardware to cable, etc. Work with color coded wires.

SKILLS

Ability to positively identify color codes and familiar with different test meters such as fluke volt meter, ohm meter and amp meters. Familiar with basic electricity theories and applications. Understand and obey OSHA safety rules and codes of conducts.
