Selection Committee

Rapid Laboratory Services

Tempe, AZ

Dear Selection Committee

This letter is to express my sincere interest in the Lead Medical Laboratory Technician position with Rapid Laboratory Services. I reviewed the posting for this position on glassdoor.com. I am very excited about the prospects of this position and feel that my education and experience make me a well-qualified candidate.

I am currently a biotechnology graduate from Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe, Arizona, having recently graduated in December 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology. In addition to this, I have been fortunate enough to participate in several course projects and research. Most recently, in my Undergraduate Research MBB 495 course, I worked on the macrophage fusion and biocompatibility of implantable devices, gel electrophoresis, ELISA, and Western blotting fields respectively in the Center for Metabolic and Vascular Biology Lab located on the Mayo Clinic Scottsdale Campus. In this research experience, I had the opportunity conducting a literature survey that focused on macrophage fusion, the molecular mechanisms therein, and biocompatibility of implantable devices and submitted a 15 page typed document reviewing the summary of each research topic. In addition, I am knowledgeable with several lab tools, equipment and research methods and also familiar with laboratory technique like SDS- PAGE, ELISA, and Western blot. Through my experience as both a student and through a variety of projects, I have learned to expand my research, verbal and written communication skills greatly. Thank you for taking the time to review my application. I look forward to hopefully meeting with you in the future to discuss your positions and my qualifications. Attached is a copy of my resume for your consideration and if I can provide you with additional information, please feel free to call or email me at any time.

Sincerely,

Afroza Nahid
