Selected Achievements
Construction Management, Increased Efficiencies. Identified local turn-key construction vendor to control costs and maximize responsiveness. Researched multiple special construction vendors locally. Helped set-up vendor number with new company. RESULT: Launched the first turn-key vendor in San Antonio, achieving significant operational cost reductions (15%), team productivity gains, and improved customer satisfaction by utilizing this vendor on most new government projects.
Project Management, Medical Equipment Installation. Managed installation of three new MRIs and coordinated the removal of existing MRIs from another vendor, all within a government facility. Partnered with architects and engineers to survey the location, and established timelines with contractor, service engineers, air products, riggers and government staff for the removal, scheduling over a weekend as to minimize disruption of day to day operations. Collaborated with MRI contractors on all phases of special construction including exam room, equipment room and control room. RESULT: Ensured readiness condition for equipment delivery and facilitated mechanical installation of all three MRIs on time, with applications education performed successfully. As a result, the MRIs formulated the highest revenue for the quarter.
Sales Engineering, Capital Equipment Installation. Collaborated with engineers both locally and in Germany to establish the best location for an MRI due to close proximity of train tracks. Worked closely with Siemens field engineer conducting several vibration studies in a twenty four hour period. All studies were sent to Germany. A plan was finally approved which involved first building the MRI and then building the outpatient clinic around the MRI. RESULT: Due to the complexity of this project not only were we able to win this $3M sale of five pieces of imaging equipment, but we were the only manufacture that could make this MRI work in this location.
Project Management, Capital Equipment Installation. Coordinated the installation and delivery $5M in capital medical equipment to a remote outpatient facility with a 90 day timeline. Partnered with executives on project pre-construction plans, estimates, and schedules. Engineered fast-tracked construction schedule enabling contractors to work trades on three shifts. RESULT: Managed 90-day schedule for Just-in-Time manufacturing with over 90% site readiness which prevented storage expense, lost productivity, and additional cost to the customer.
Cost Controls. Facilitate a third party repair program to reduce premium repair costs charged by manufacturer. Served as Project Coordinator of flexible, rigid scopes, power equipment and instrumentation for the surgical and GI lab to third party repair. Inspected and tested all equipment before and after repair. RESULT: Reduced repair costs by 20% through consolidation of the surgical instrumentation and scope programs under a Consolidated Equipment Management System, saving $250,000 the first year.

Equipment Sourcing, Installation Planning. Sourced new medical equipment for initial outfitting and transition of services during the renovation and expansion of SAMMC (San Antonio Military Medical Center), the DOD’s largest inpatient hospital. Minimized total cost of ownership (TCO) for all purchased products by identifying three or more potential vendors for purchases over $3K, using military standard 1691. Collaborated on the acquisition plan for the purchase and installation of approximately 100K of equipment items valued at over $200M.
