Refactoring a large scale 3 tier system for a major Greek shipping company booking system.

MVVM pattern followed with very clear separation of models, views and controllers(viewmodels).Views are absolutely agnostic to models and very easy for maintenance. DUNIT is used to test the models and the views.

Thin client was refactored to fat client and new application server developed.

Application server supports UNICORN messaging from START clients and FortCRS clients and supports also the customers WEB based booking application.

Web services are planned to change to REST services in the near future.

I have migrated client and server apps, from Delphi 2009 to Delphi XE7 and -recently to Delphi XE10 Seattle. I had also developed the app server top to bottom where the stored procedures holding business rules, where discarded and business rules and logic implemented on app server.

Middle tier developed on RemObject DataAbstract VCL Delphi XE10 Seattle libraries and TMS, DevExpress and FastReports third party libraries are involved in the project.

System consists of 5 app. Servers, with Load balancer on Sql Server 2014.

Also, 2 app serves for Web booking and 4 app servers for Start and ForthCRS booking clients. Start and ForthCRS booking clients are legacy systems. They are mostly used by booking agencies in Germany, Italy and Greece.

System is to be re-launch on May 2017, on ship agencies in Patras, Bari, Ancona and September 2017 on ship agencies in Greece for the domestic departures.

The R&D developing group, consists of 4 developers and myself.

From 04/2008 to 09/2008 design and setup of the life branch.

09/20014 launched the system on IBM As400, Lansa 4gl, DB2 As400.

Back office implemented on Visual Studio 2012,C# with DevExpress components and Insurance agents support system developed in Delphi 2010 with Devexpress and FastReport.

Head analyst-programmer. In charge for the complete top to bottom setup on AS400 IBM system of the life insurance policies. Maintenance and improvements on software.

Cloud based software for all doctors specialties in Delphi XE4 FireMonkey & DataAbstract(3 tier framework), FastReport FMX, Tms Fmx components.

Along with the insurance company, I was running my own company, developing software for insurance agents with Delphi 7, FastReports, Devexpress VCL

My company has also developed software for G4S Securicor. Software was monitoring security guards in all airports in Greece, Cash in transit for G4S, producing monthly wages results.

Developed intelligent system for auto identification of records from 13 different countries in Europe where sales from pharmacies needed to be bridged with Greek National Drug File for the above mention purpose.

Intelligent OCR system in Delphi, identifying doctors hand writing prescriptions.

Both drugs statistics and hand writing statistics was launched on in house system, aiming the Greek pharmaceutical market.
