PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

I am currently working as an Assistant Professor urology at the The Indus Hospital,

Karachi, Pakistan. I have a good experience to deal with almost all the urological patients

including the urological emergency and the routine patients related to the stone

disease,andrology,infertility,oncology, and female urology. I can independently perform all

the urological procedure including the surgery related to the stone disease, prostate,

oncology.

I am the co head of the post graduate medical training programme of The Indus Hospital. I

am also the residency coordinator of urology and completed my supervisor workshops

from college of physician and surgeons Pakistan and soon become the supervisor of the

urological training programme. I am also the active member of emergency response

committee of my Hospital.

Assistant Professor Urology April 2014 to date

I am currently working as an Assistant Professor urology at the The Indus Hospital,

Karachi, Pakistan. I have a good experience to deal with almost all the urological patients

As a senior registrar I worked at The Indus Hospital for period of 1 year. During this period

I was conducting the independent morning rounds as well the teaching rounds of the

residents. I was actively involved in the teaching programme of the residents including

their core Curriculum, their quadratley assessments and the learning skills in the operating

room. On the basis of my performance I was promoted to Assistant professor next year.

Gained sound knowledge of basic as well as advance urology. Here I learnt the

history,physical examination of the urological patients. Also involved in patients

management in the outpatient, wards as well as emergency department.

I trained in endourological surgeries related to the stone disease, BPH, etc as well as open

oncological surgeries like retropubic radical prostectomy,radical cystectomy with urinary

diversion including both continent and non continent type of diversions. As a chief

resident i was also involved in the administrative matters related to the residents. During

my residency I was also involved in the research activity and had few publications in the

index journals. I was also involved in the national meeting and won the 2 nd price on my

presentation in 2007.

Ziauddin Hospital is a 300 bedded teaching hospital with well established Coronary Care

and Intensive Care. Its ICU has 25 beds with 18 ventilator. Here I learned surgical

appendectomy,hernia repair,hemorrhoidectomy etc.
