**** ******* **. #**** *********, KY ***** 859-***-**** **************@*****.***

Human Resources Leader

Experienced HR Professional, with over eight years of experience as a Human Resources Professional and five years as a small business owner. My experience expands across union and non-union industrial environments, staffing, manufacturing, government, professional and distribution center environments. I have worked for both small private organizations, mid-level organizations on the brink of a public offering, and Fortune 500 publicly traded entities. All organizations have operated in a 24/7/365 capacity. I completed my MBA in 2012 and will be taking my SHRM-CP spring 2016.

Extensive background in all HR capacities, including labor relations, grievance and arbitrational hearings where I built cases for arbitrations (all ruled in my organizations favor), team member retention, recruitment, mediation, conflict resolution, benefits and compensation, HR records management, HR policies development and legal compliance(SOX auditing), general staffing, union free avoidance seminars, disciplinary actions, policy handbook creation, new hire orientations, department development, drug testing, third party organizational drives, and accident investigations that have included two fatalities and one near fatal. I have developed learning plans to increase the skillsets of my direct reports and have maintained a successful pattern of reducing worker’s compensation. I have human resources experience in over 25 states ensuring legal compliance and working in 15 states through labor relation issues.

Demonstrated success in negotiating win-win compromises during organizational restructuring, successful oversight of the grievance process, developing low turnover rates, developing legally compliant job board postings, restructuring departments, improving team member relations/morale, reducing accident rates, leading union avoidance efforts, and building human resource departments to meet the needs of organizations. I have adopted a leadership driven focus for putting team members first. This has led to the development and roll-out of initiatives focused on growing your workforce and generating ideas from your workforce.

Experienced leader who has taken every opportunity afforded to become the strongest asset to my organization as possible. I understand the importance in leading an HR department to be cutting edge, transparent, and have worked to source and develop amazing teams to work alongside of me and develop their needs with the goal of creating new leaders. I have worked hard to gain exposure in organizations of various sizes, industries, and diverse demographics. I see Human Resources as an asset to organizational growth and view myself as a leader of team member advocacy and an expert of “people”. I look beyond the scope of policies and procedures, recognizing an organizations workforce as a living, breathing being that has needs that recognizes long-term success come from your workforce. I enjoy working along all levels of leadership and departments to assist with the growth of team members both from an organizational standpoint, but also as a human being outside of work.
