PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Toyota Project (Senior Design Project)

University of Texas at San Antonio, San Antonio, TX (2013-2014)

Project Purpose: Toyota Quality Engineering Department (QE) Engineers lacked the ability to effectively perform product-fit tests, by means of a coordinate measurement machine (CMM), between various exterior components mounted to a Toyota Tacoma truck cab. The purposes of the project were to design mounting brackets to secure each Toyota Tacoma truck cab to a Master-cab dolly, located and installed datum points, and designed front bumper-mount brackets for the Master-cab dolly.

Role and Responsibility: Design, Drawing, Research and Analysis

Outcome and Results: Detailed drawings for the construction of the support brackets that will secure the Tacoma cab to the Master-Cab Dolly were established and submitted to Toyota facility along with Designate datum points that will calibrate the CMM to the Tacoma cab and Master-Cab Dolly combination.

Fuel Gas System Piping Design Project (Senior Year Project)

University of Texas at San Antonio, San Antonio, TX (2014)

Project Purpose: Presented the design of a fuel gas pipe system to deliver fuel to a Combustion Turbine Generator that met the ASME B31.1 Power piping code

Role and Responsibility: Calculated and analyzed proprieties of different components of the system using software.

Outcome and Results: A virtual functioning system was design with all the theoretical components, and estimate cost needed.
