Two levels of each factor and 3 replicates to run 23 factorial design i.e. 24 runs was chosen.

Data collection of parameters and response (lap timings in sec) recorded with accuracy of 1/10th of sec.

Minitab and Excel software used to compute ANOVA to know contribution of factors on lap time.

Human factors and Ergonomics Project on Evaluation of Ergonomics tool: KIM (key indicator method) for LHC (lifting, holding, carrying) and PP (pushing, pulling) at USPS, LA Mar 2015

Benchmarking KIM tool with standard ergonomics evaluation tools with NIOSH lifting equation, RULA, REBA, MAC tool (Manual handling assessment chart), QEC (Quick exposure check).

Identification of key indicators at USPS warehouse like Time rating, load, body posture, work condition.

Determined time rating for holding, carrying, displacement tasks and rating points for load and posture.

Utilized Biopac student lab 4.0 and Jack Simulation (Siemens) to record fatigue level on vital muscles.

On the data collected the score was 14 indicating restricted movement and strong bending body posture.

Suggested to use KIM tool as complimentary to MAC to reduce MSD’s in material handling at USPS.

Vehicle Packaging Project on QFD (Quality Function Deployment) analysis on customer needs and benchmarking on development of driver side door trim panel of Honda Accord (08). Sept 2015

Selected driver door trim components on guidelines of Kano model (basic needs & expectations).

Designed packaging of component location based on dimensions defined in SAE J1100 and FMVSS.

Designed geometry of automotive hood using Catia V5 and imported to CAD geometry tool in ANSYS.

Used accelerometer to induce force and Data analysis of by LMS Test.Lab (Siemens).

Performed Modal analysis in Ansys 16.0 with mode count 30 and frequency range 1 to 1000 HZ.

Recorded observations interpreting Digital Signal Processes to conclude that frequency of particular mode is higher for the part of higher thickness.

Mechanically Operated Pesticide Sprayer, [VTU, Belgaum] JAN 2013 – JUNE 2013

Designed and fabricated frame for multipurpose, affordable “Manually operated pesticide sprayer”.

Utilized Catia V5, AutoCAD and Ansys for design and analysis of stable frame with 22 gage steel.
