The experience with titration of ventilator settings and medications has helped me become a much more independent, autonomous nurse. I sharpened my delegation and communication experience there too. Focusing on patient care and including the family as a piece of the patient care I developed the skills needed for communication and teaching that I believe will assist me in a leadership role.
