CAREER FOCUS: ENGINEERING DESIGN / DRAFTING
MANUFACTURING ARCHITECTURAL MECHANICAL
A talented Engineer with knowledge of design for sheet metal, materials, components, fabrication processes, welding processes, and tooling; as well as hands-on experience designing and creating industrial grade silencers.
Particularly skilled at gathering relevant design information, comparing and contrasting data, identifying relationships and predicting performance. Technically savvy; proficient in SolidWorks 2014 / 2012, AutoCAD 2014 / 2012, AutoCAD Architecture 2014 / 2012, AutoCAD MEP 2013, DriveWorks, Visual Info Program, Revit 2013 / 2012, Draft Sight 2014 / 2012, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lync. CRITICAL COMPETENCIES
2D / 3D Modeling & Drafting
System Design & Integration
Mechanical Component Design
Calculating Heat Loss and Heat Gain
Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing
Failure Investigation & Analysis
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
IAC-ACOUSTICS – Lincoln, NE August 2013 to October 2015 DESIGNER – ENGINEERING DEPT.
Brought on to create fabrication print designs for industrial grade engine silencers using 2D/3D computer aided design tools. Confer with Engineers, Product Specialist, Order Entry, Purchasing, Quality Control, Welders, and general laborers in order to determine product specifications, arrange for purchase of equipment, material or parts, and then design high quality products that meet specifications while ensuring quality standards.
Develop fabrication prints and specifications required for the manufacturing of new products and modification of existing products.
Perform complex calculations to determine performance analysis, stress analysis, tolerances, et cetera.
Carry out testing and evaluation of theoretical designs; recommend modifications based on results.
NOTABLE CONTRIBUTIONS
Produced innovative, intelligent designs for on-site production that resulted in breaking all previous records for the most orders out in one month (550 orders). These were produced by five Designers but the majority were developed by me.
Successfully designed and produced an industrial grade silencer and accessories in less than three days where previous designers had failed.
The only DriveWorks Configuration Program expert on staff for nearly six months.
My salary has increased five times since hire as a result of exceptional work performance. EDUCATION
