ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Project Engineer for the design and construction of street improvements, guardrail installations, land developments and campsites. Review and preparation of design, service and construction of contracts and specifications. Monitor construction costs to contractor’s bid to assure project is on budget and schedule. Inspector of public works projects such as curb, gutter and sidewalk, asphalt paving, sewer, water and storm drain improvements. Prepared Engineer’s cost estimates for construction projects, prepared reports to the city council for project approval, award of contract and other reports to other agencies.

Create policies and procedures to improve the adherence to established company CAD standards within the department. Oversaw the general and sub contractors for the public swimming pool construction. Designed and prepared CAD construction plans for public pools ranging in size up to $3.9M and 26,240 sf skate parks. Civil Engineer, USDA Forest Service, Overgaard, AZ, 2003-2008

Served as Project Engineer for a road realignment and construction project. The road is now a benchmark for roads in the Forest Service. Routinely inspected aggregate plants to check safety procedures material meets specifications. Conducted a Forest-wide road condition survey for the Forest transportation plan. Because rapid completion I was presented with a certificate and a monetary reward. Redesigned a group campsite which was built within budget and time-frame. Designed several small subdivisions including a 300+ unit subdivision complete with utilities, street sections and a rough grading plan. The subdivision had commercial, residential, park units and retention lots and a subdivision with its own private airstrip. Prepared a Master Plan for a 122 acre church camp and a Scout Camp for internal use in planning for future developments. Provide CAD services to correct “redlines” from City of Austin review comments. This was done for different engineering companies in Arizona and Texas.

Served as the Project Engineer for a new road one mile extension from one of our Concrete and Aggregate plans in Sun City Arizona. Update CAD site plans for concrete, aggregate plants in Arizona and New Mexico. Use CAD software to determine reserve quantity of existing and proposed areas for the various plants. Routinely visited aggregate processing plants to determine on-hand material supplies and plant layout for optimum production. Routinely inspected aggregate plants to check that material meets specifications. Using CAD designed railroad station to load and unload gravel between mining sites and processing plants for the New Mexico plants.
