Project Name : Analytical Model of 20nm Dual Insulator DG MOSFET - DEVICE MODELLING
Synopsis : The acceleration of Moore's law from past few years, has forced aggressive down-scaling in the existing MOSFET structures which resoled in many challenges, such as SCEs, resistances and DG, SOI devices seem to be the alternatives as they can effectively reduce the short channel effects and yield higher current drive. This project work is about designing an ideal MOSFET and analyze the characteristics along with the design of an ideal Double Gate MOSFET and to study the characteristics. Also designing the DG MOSFET with Dual Insulators (SiO2-HfO2) having less gate length as possible which is known as Dual Insulator DG MOSFET and to study its characteristics. Then study the characteristics & effects of the gate misalignment and also oversized back gate effects in it.
