CPOE daily activities:
Our team verified HL7 information so that the various hospitals owned by HMA were put on an EHR system. Our team touched basis with the development team to determine which sites had been upgraded the previous night. Once we determine which sites were upgraded, we performed a “Smoke Test” to regress the system. We verified the raw HL7 2.X messages(ADT, ORU..etc) which was found in a mainframe system call ‘PULSE’ against the ‘MAP’ system and the PATIENTKEEPER’ system. If a defect was found I wrote the testing step to recreate the defect. I determined the severity of the defect, and reported the defect to the development team. I also tracked the defect until the fix was complete and the system was totally regressed.
