EXPEREINCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Mr. Henry L. Williams served as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant with the 5th Special Forces Group until December 1988. At which time he was assigned as a Military Advisor to Somalia until September 1989. He was then assigned to the US Army Special Warfare Center and School at Ft Bragg, NC. He attended the US Army Instructor Trainer Course, and was assigned to the 18D Special Forces Medical Sergeants Course. After retirement he attended the EMT-P Course at the Sandhills Community College, in Southern Pines NC. He worked at the Fayetteville Technical Community College Adult Education Center teaching in the EMT-B and the EMT-P programs. He was hired by Booze, Allen and Hamilton as a Contractor Instructor with the JSOMTC in 1997. Later the contract changed over to Global Services, Mr. Williams has instructed in every level of the Special Operations Medical Course, to include the Special Operations Combat Medical Skill Sustainment Course (SOCMSSC). Mr. Williams was the only BLS- Instructor Trainer for the JSOMTC for 2 years. He also held the position of ACLS/BLS/PALS Director until his departure in 2003. Sep 2003 contracted to go to Iraq on Operation Iraqi Freedom with the Army Corps of Engineers until May 2007. Returned to Global Services at the JSOMTC as an Instructor in the Special Operations Medical Course.

SPECIFIC EXPEREINCE:

Work as an Independent Medic for Oil exploration in Northern Iraq (Kurdistan)

Worked with a British company out of London. Covered about 200 Sq. Mi. area in the mountains near the border between Iraq and Iran in 2012.

Contracted as Senior Medic for USA Environmental then as a Security Team Leader with EOD Technology with the US Army Corps of Engineers – Sep 2003 to May 2007.

The first two years with USA Environmental I served as the Senior Medic at the Ammunition Depot “Arlington” located out side of FOB Summerall, Bayji Iraq. I was the primary care giver for 40-60 US personal and about 180 Iraqi personal. The follow-on contract with EOD Technology I was contracted as a Security Team Leader, my primary duty was to conduct convoy and PSD operations through-out our operational area. I also ran a night security team that controlled a 15km section of road in our area. To maintain a safe passage for the EOD company and others to travel to work and back to their living area at FOB Summerall.

Senior Medical Instructor/Writer, Special Forces Medical Course – Mar 1997 to Sep 2003. I was a civilian contractor with Global Services Corp. as a Senior Medical Instructor/Writer for the US Army Special Forces Medic Course at Ft Bragg. During this time I served in all areas of the school, from the basic course to the advanced trauma and the advanced cardiac courses. I served for 2 years as the Director of the Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Life Support and all Basic Life Support studies at the school. This entailed having to certify every student and instructor that went through the Special Forces Medical Course. I also helped to develop the Special Forces Medical Recertification Course.

I helped to establish the rotation training sites for the paramedic phase of the course. With hospital and EMS sites in New York City and Tampa, Fl. I helped insure and maintain the standards required by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians that allowed the JSOMTC to be a test site for the National Registry.

Paramedic Instructor, Fayetteville Technical Community College – Apr 1994 to Mar 1997, I started teaching for Fayetteville Tech Comm. College as a Combat Life Saver Instructor contracted at Ft Bragg, NC. I became the lead Instructor of that program in 4 months. At that time I also started teaching the Basic EMT Course with the night class. In 1996, I began teaching in the EMT- Paramedic Course on Fayetteville Techs main campus. During the time I was teaching at the college our pass rate when to over 80% for the students that tested for the National Registry of EMT-Paramedics. I helped the lead Paramedic Instructor in setting up and running the Paramedic course, plus working as a preceptor at the local hospitals where our students did their rotations.

SFC, 18D Special Forces Medical Instructor, USAJFKSWTG. – Oct 1989 to Aug 1993

I was assigned to the Special Forces School at ft Bragg, NC. During this time I served as the Senior Medic and Instructor for the SERE Level C program for the first 9 months. Then was moved over to D Company, 3rd Bn, USAJFKSWTG. I acted as the Senior Medic and Instructor there for 4 months there, and then was pulled back to the 18D course due to the shortage of medic instructors.

As an 18D instructor, I was the lead instructor for the live tissue trauma lanes. And was OR leader for the surgical phase of the course.

I was selected by the command to go to Somalia in 1992 on Operation Restore Hope, due to the fact I had been assigned to Somalia as a Military Adviser on a prior assignment. While assigned there I was awarded the Navy Achievement Metal by the Marines we were with as advisers.

I retired form the Army on 31 Aug 1993 with 22 years active duty.

SFC, Special Forces Medic 18D, Advisor to Somalia – Dec 1987 to Oct 1989. I was selected by the 5th Special Forces Commander to be assigned as an advisor to Somalia.

We trained the Somali Army Commando Unit in special operations tactics, weapons,

and demolitions. I organized the unit’s medical section and trained the 20 man medical platoon to the standard of EMT Basic and combat causality care. I also developed their AK 47 / M16 / dismounted patrol qualification ranges, and the combat engineer demolitions section.

Our tour was cut short due to the civil war starting in 1989.

SFC, Special Forces Medic 18 D, Senior medic for ODA 574 (HALO), Oct 1985 to Dec 1987. I was the Senior Medic for ODA 574 (HALO), B Co, 3rd Bn. 5th Special Forces Group (A).
