My primary duties with HAI are driving jet fuel trucks, (3000 to 4000 gallon, straight trucks or tractor trailers) and ground work, supporting a Huey helicopter on various projects, including pipeline restoration work on the Marcellus-Utica pipeline project.

My primary duties with JCR were serving in the capacity of aerial lineman, working the transmission grid for NYSEG. (New York state electric and gas) Unfortunately, JCR was purchased by Quanta Services group, and a few of the newer employees were laid off, due to Quanta wanting to use people they already had, and JCR had no control. Very brief employment.

Primary duties included the indoctrination and training of new lineman, and indoctrination training for new pilots, mechanics, and groundmen. I was also responsible for developing new training procedures, and modifying/updating existing procedures when necessary. I served on the Haverfield Safety Committee. I was one of two certified First Aid/CPR/AED instructors at Haverfield Aviation. I was responsible for advanced and recurrent lineman training. I also served as a field foreman/lineman, performing maintenance, patrols, or inspections, and driving hazmat trucks, when needed.

After completing four years of trade school, I started my career as a professional automobile mechanic in Fairmont, WV. Working at various new car dealerships, and one large truck repair facility. In 1979 I was offered employment as a mechanic for Allegheny Power. After 1 year, I was awarded a transfer to the line department, I then completed a four year lineman apprenticeship program. For the next 21 years I worked as a transmission and distribution lineman, gaining extensive experience in storm restoration, troubleshooting, and new construction in transmission, distribution, and URD. In 1994, I obtained a journeyman electrician license, and worked the next ten years in my off hours at Allegheny Power, wiring new homes and re-wiring existing homes, apartments and various small businesses for power and telecom. I studied the National Electric Code extensively, and began teaching code classes in the private sector. After leaving Allegheny Power, I worked for a brief period of time as a General foreman for Webnic Construction, building transmission lines and substations for various coal companies in both Ohio and West Virginia.

Most recently I completed a post construction comprehensive inspection on the Sigurd-Red Butte 345kv line in Utah, for Pacific Corp, via EC Source. This line was 172 miles long, and had been inspected twice previously. I found approximately 120 discrepancies, including missing and backed out hot end/cold end cotter keys, loose and missing shoe nuts on both conductor and shield wires, etc. 7300+ photos were taken, with 5700 photos processed and included on final report.
