Key Project & Related Coursework
Senior Design Project: SAE Mini Baja Vehicle 2015
Overhauled the design, manufacture, and testing of a Mini Baja in collaboration with fellow engineering students. Measured vehicular performance and implemented numerous improvements to frame, suspension, steering, engine, wheels, and overall design, resulting in a lighter, faster, better performing machine. Key improvements include:
Reduced weight by 1/3, resulting in speed increase of 20 mph.
Optimized handling by fine tuning front shocks and wheel alignment.
Enhanced driving comfort by increasing front-end space, relocating throttle and brake pedals, and elongating driving column.
Excelled in Finite Element Analysis, Computer-Aided Engineering Design, Manufacturing, Kinematics Mechanisms, Fluid Mechanics, Material Science, Machine Design, and Wind/Solar Energy courses.
