Built regression models to explain the crime occurrence of the United States in 1990 based on the dataset from University of Virginia

Expected to understand the security issue from the aspects of social science. Variables are selected by four categories, which are Population Composition, Economic Status, Education, and Regions

Through the approach of stepwise variable selection and GLM models (including Poisson Regression, Gamma Regression and Normal Regression) successfully discovered the relations between predictors and crime rate

Jan 2015 – May 2015 MOCK PROJECT (Merging Two Datasets) by using SAS and Excel Champaign, IL

Built new model by merging two raw datasets which were about college basketball players between 1999 and 2013 for analyzing the data

Utilized list input methods with a DSD option to denote that multiple delimiters should be treated individually and MDY to read date values in correctly

Used proc format to create own format. Namely, when utilized the format $blankout will display missing character values as “Not reported”

Created the variable ID which concatenates the player’s name, college and draft year into a unique identifier
