Dear Sir/Madame:
I am excited to submit my application for the Logistics Coordinator. As a professional with over 4 years of experience in the supply chain and logistics industry and having made significant contributions as a Logistics Specialist, I am well positioned to contribute to the success of an organization’s performance.
In my work experiences, I effectively worked in sales and supply
chain-logistics. Currently, I am working as a logistics lead associate for Office Depot. Within one month of hiring, I was placed on a travel team to assist other stores in Maryland in reorganizing their warehouses and inventories. During July, 2015, our store passed its Corporate Annual Inventory Audit with no major discrepancies. In 2011-12, I worked as a Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) volunteer for the Office of Inspector
General (OIG), USPS. In this volunteer work, I developed and maintained spreadsheets noting profits and cost expenditure projections related to their campaign. I also conducted their stamp artwork inventory consisting of 275+ collectors framed art to prepare them for their 2012-13 campaign. For my efforts, I was awarded a plaque noting my superior performance in assisting them to surpass their national goal by 125%. It should be
mentioned that this campaign met all the requirements and passed all audits with no discrepancies conducted by federal auditors.
I have a Business Administration undergraduate degree and presently am working on a degree in Forensic Accounting. These programs have provided a good understanding of both government and private sector procurement processes such acquisition planning, contract formation- administration, supply chain, and auditing. I think the combination of these degrees can
make a significant contribution to any progressive organization.
I would appreciate the opportunity to interview with you at a convenient time. Thank you for your review and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Email is the best way to contact me.
Sincerely,
Christopher W. Walters
