Often at the forefront of technology and innovation. Earned a design and ingenuity award at MIT for a head-mounted camera control system before the term “Virtual Reality” (VR) was coined. Utilized VR at NASA to investigate rescuing astronauts. Expertise in designing UIs, which includes designing space station UIs in hypertext before the web existed and interactions for personalized relevant search at Outride before Google, which ultimately bought the product. Designed UIs for a small, wireless, pen-based device before the creation of iPads and smart phones. Demonstrated success in ramping up quickly.

SENIOR INTERACTION DESIGNER, Ariba, an SAP Company, Sunnyvale, CA 2013-2015
As member of Core Team, designed the User Experience for Ariba Exchange User Community, a high-profile social application to provide user engagement and self-help. Created responsive designs for web, sidebar, and mobile platforms. Collaborated with executives, content creators, developers, and product managers. Product was featured in the Keynote address at Ariba Live 2015.
Created interactive prototypes and improved flows for User Profile, Q&A, Commenting, Notifications, and other end user and Moderator features for sidebar, mobile, and popup platforms.
Led redesign of Search across the product line.
Contributed to Visual Refresh and User Centered Design Group projects.
Collaborated cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and QA, in the US and India in completing design projects meeting all requirements and deadlines.
CHIEF INTERACTION DESIGN MAGICIAN, Hewlett-Packard, Sunnyvale, CA 2011-2013
Designed the User Experience for ArcSight Command Center from the ground up. Product was featured in the Keynote address, demo booths and exhibit hall at Protect '13 User Conference. Many praised the tremendous increase in usability.
Led the interaction design of Enterprise Security Manager, Logger, Connector Appliance, and other leading Big Data security products.
Created UX Design Process to facilitate the creation of quality designs. Created Design Patterns to speed design process and increase internal consistency.
Wrote several versions of UI Guidelines to better leverage time and productivity and to enhance consistency across the product line.

Performed heuristic evaluations of all major products.
Redesigned navigation, installation, and information architecture. Performed revolutionary redesign of product navigation, which led to the reduction in the number of clicks required to navigate to valuable content by over 90% in some cases. Reduced the amount of screen real estate consumed by navigation by over 50% to increase space for content. Redesign of flagship product was received so well that other organizations embraced the designs and took advantage of its flexibility and scalability.

LEAD USER EXPERIENCE DESIGNER, Symantec, Mountain View, CA 2009-2010
Led international team in building Veritas Operations Services, a flexible web-based SaaS console to assist system administrators in identifying risks in data centers and to increase operational efficiency. Within less than one year of release, number of users, servers tested and many other metrics surpassed goals. Product was so successful that other divisions of Symantec pursued adoption.
