Office Software Tools – Salesforce, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access
Languages - bilingual in English and Vietnamese, novice in German
Engineering Project Experience
Senior Caption Plant Design: Polyglycolic acid (PGA) and Polylactic (PLA)
Participated as Facility Design Engineer (FDE) and Chief of Safety Officer (CSO) with five other team members to design a polymer plant that is capable of 3 metric tons of production per year
CSO was responsible for reviewing chemicals present throughout the whole process streams, decided on proper handling procedures as regulated by OSHA and EPA, identified hazard areas, and suggested all necessary protective equipment. Moreover, CSO was in charge of performing HAZOP, LOPA, SOP, emergency shutdown procedure, and estimating safety equipment cost. FDE decided the location of the plant as well as appropriate storage space and storage method. Additionally, FDE sketched up the plant layout using Microsoft Visio with up to scaled equipment, and designed three-dimensional layout.
Engineering Economics and Feasibility Project: Polystyrene Lowell, MA
Reviewed the process and manufacturing options of polystyrene, and performed review of current market of raw feed stock material costs and possible suppliers
Energy Performance Analysis and Improvement at ReStore Billerica, MA
Provided a standard method for characterizing the heat loss of the facilities using Heat Transfer principles, and calculated the energy consumptions of the facility
Pilot Plant Design - The Nature Scent Company Lowell, MA
Designed a small pilot-scale operation that is capable of producing at least one eye-catching bar soap product
