I am Vaibhav Gaywala. I have completed my diploma in metallurgy from N. M. Gopani polytechnic, Ranpur, Gujarat with First Class.

Initially I had completed my six month internship / training from the ESSAR Steel Limited, Hazira, Surat. During that I had done the certification specialization in NDT (Non-Destructive Testing in Metal). Then after I move forward and take up the responsibilities of Quality Assurance Executive in L & T Limited, Hazira, Surat with reference to sub-contractor firm “INSPECT NDT”. I had an extensive experience of Quality Assurance in Shipbuilding department of L & T for approx one and half years.

For the better growth and opportunity I had join B. E. (Metallurgy) in government college and also shift from the L & T. I was work as Quality/Production Supervisor in Palm Alloy Pvt. Limited in Mumbai.

Causes of some personal and family problem were switch to Surat again and accept the job in Sahajanand Laser Technology Surat. And after one year was jump to metal care alloys pvt. Ltd. at Aamgau, Palghar, Maharashtra.

Molding of Co2 process for the Steel, Iron and Special Cast Iron material.

Set the molding design like risering getting system for the Iron grades, Stainless steels grades, Abrasion Resistance Steel and special grades of Cast Iron.

Check the sand quality by manually.

Monitoring the molders of company & following up with them for right molding methods to attempt.

Core making process handling and right methods to attempt, preparing risering registers.

General Qualitative Management.

Conducting verification of various standards to detect any possible Defect and ensuring that product quality.

Managing qualitative function involving determining qualitative objectives, designing & implementing systems, policies & procedures to facilitate internal qualitative control.

Preparing and maintaining necessary stock records to track the inward / outward movement of goods; conducting stock verification / reconciliation at regular intervals.

WORK IN L&T SHIP BUILDING HAZIRA

Qualitative Management

Structural and welding inspection of parts of ship and ship body structure as per the L&T quality standard.

Inspection of cutting plate by dimension and verify with parts drawings of ship. (CNC plazma gas cutting)

Plate inspection reparation as per the L&T standards.

Testing

Conducting air testing of ship tanks and finding the defects (pin hole, throughout holes)

Die penetration testing, magnetic practical testing inspection and recalibration inspection.

Developing new testing techniques.

Venturey Vacuum testing

Newly developed testing technique for the micro level throughout hole by L&T Q.A. team.
