Avionics Technician (RQ7B Shadow) January 2012- Present

Twenty-nine Palms MCAGCC/ MAGTFTC, United States Marine Corps.

Avionics Technician (RQ7B Shadow): (January 2012- Current)

•Maintained, trained and emplaced the Unmanned Ariel System (UAS) for required flight hours.

•Accomplished emplacement displacement of the RQ-7B UAS in multiple training locations to maintain equipment for over 6,000 flight hours.

•Successfully maintained and troubleshot 3 RQ-7B systems while also leading and training over 75 United Stated Marines.

•Obtained and maintained all of the qualifications in my Military Occupational Specialty (6314 UAS Maintainer) these include; Plane Captain, Collateral Duty Inspector, Quality Assurance Representative.

Plane Captain: (August 2013 – Current)

•Closely supervised properly trained 24 Avionic Technicians to become Plane Captains while supervising the proper upkeep of the aircrafts.

•Safely launched and recovered over 300 sorties throughout multiple CONUS Training Operations.

•Qualified 22 new Plane Captains to assist with the launch and recovery of the system further relieving the workload throughout the maintenance department.

•Maintained the proper maintenance of an entire system consisting of Unmanned Aircrafts, Data Dishes, Landing Equipment, and Launchers.

Collateral Duty Inspector (January 2014- Current)

•Performed UAS and support equipment testing, troubleshooting and maintenance.

•Directly Responsible to the Quality Assurance Officer for performing inspections in accordance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Procedures (NAMP 4790.2B)

•Supervised the execution and completion of all maintenance within a shift in accordance with all Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM), Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS), and Naval Aviation Maintenance Program procedures (NAMP).

•Entrusted with the ability to verify and inspect all torque values for multiple maintenance procedures to guarantee 100% safe aircraft departure and recovery.

•Trained 10 Marines to become Collateral Duty Inspectors.

Quality Assurance Representative (2013 – Current)

•Maintained designated programs such as Electrostatic Discharge Program, which prevented electro magnetic interference to short out or limit capabilities and Hazardous Material Program (Hazmat) which is continuously updated to comply with safety procedures of fuels and oils which afford us the ability to proceed with our mission safely.

•Created multiple Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs), Technical Publication Deficiency Reports (TPDRs) in accordance with Naval Aviation Maintenance Discrepancy Reporting System (NAMDRP) to ensure excellence in our system efficiency as well as proper practice throughout our maintenance department

•Surpassed 3 Annual Commander Naval Air Forces (CNAF) Inspections, the highest inspection to determine unit readiness and safe ability to comply with strict Naval Aviation standards through thorough assessments and exercises of our maintenance department’s practices.

•Educated Marines within the entire Work Center on a Weekly Basis on specific components of our UAV system as well as our safety programs such as Sight & Hearing Conservation, which informs marines, the importance of wearing personal protective equipment when conducting themselves around the aircraft.

Tactical Common Data Link (RQ-7BV2) (May 2014-Current)

•Granted the opportunity to be one of the Few trained on the units new upgraded aircraft

•Specifically Hand picked and focused on with civilian subject matter experts learning in depth knowledge and creating stepping-stones on becoming the units first military instructor for the new aircraft.

•Coordinated with and Maintain liaison with civilian contractors, field technical services such as AAI Field Service Representatives for the RQ-7BV2 to provide subject matter expert assistance resolving issues beyond the scope of field maintenance capability.
