Work history and experience:

November, 1982 to February, 1997

Wright, Fulford, Moorhead & Brown, P.A., 505 Maitland Avenue, Suite 100, Altamonte Springs, Florida 32701. Primarily personal injury defense. Early duties were scheduling depositions with opposing attorneys, setting hearings with the Court, drafting discovery responses, and discovery to be propounded to opposing parties, drafting responsive pleadings, answers/affirmative defenses and routine non dispositive motions. I maintained the attorney’s calendar, updated changing events and entered ticklers for due dates on responses. I also served as receptionist, answering a multi-line telephone system, routing and screening calls, answering questions, setting meetings, reserving the conference rooms (in the later years through Outlook) and ensuring conference rooms were in order and stocked with properly stocked (A/V equipment, refreshments, etc.) I also served as runner, performing courthouse filing, posting mail, certified mail, and mail pick-up, preparing courier deliveries, performed out of office errands to obtain notarized signatures, accepting and making hand deliveries and once taking case related photographs.

February, 1997 to August, 2002

Wright, Fulford, Moorhead & Brown, P.A. My duties were construction litigation cases, simple and complex, arbitrated claims in both State and Federal courts and in many other state jurisdictions. I maintained the cases from receipt of the case to final disposition. I routinely assembled binders, hearing folders, and ensured all materials necessary for calendar events (hearings, depositions, site inspections, mediations, client meetings, etc.) were timely prepared, well organized, correct, complete and secured. I arranged for delivery to long distance locations when presentation materials were voluminous. I made travel arrangements ground and air, overnight accommodations and prepared travel folders. I timely submitted all expense reports, ensuring each was accurate and complied with the billing guidelines established by the particular client for whom the expense(s) were incurred.
