For each day’s construction operations, I prepared daily work report and entered the relevant data including field measured quantities for payments and sampling and testing results, in NYSDOT’s AASTHO Site Manager Program.

This project includes inspection of excavation and backfilling of suitable material of select structural fill and correct compaction testing and demolition of the old bridge in sections. Inspection of bored in piles, reinforcing steel, such as; epoxy coated reinforcement steel for the erection for the substructures of columns, footings and abutment or walls as well as piers following the completion of the curing period of the concrete placement to support the superstructure such as single steel girder erection with the intermediate diaphragms and the end diaphragms & bracings was placed to tighten & torque bolts to support the top surface of the new bridge decks, approach slabs & moment slabs. This project involved the removal and replacement of existing roadway decks, median and side barriers, rail repairs, and drainage system. Other key features of the project include replacing all roadway joint systems on the approaches and lift spans, resetting the Manhattan tower span and bearings, strengthening existing floor beams, and refurbishing existing steel bearings of the lift span. Responsibilities included inspection of the placement deck panels, opening and closing traffic lanes, and assistance in computing contractor payments.

Performed daily inspections to ensure the MPT was being performed in accordance with the NYSDOT requirements.
