Physician, Surgeon and experienced Emergency Department clinician graduated in Colombia whit twelve years experience in the ER, inpatient and outpatient services taking care of adult and pediatric population. My excellent communication skills have allowed me to traduce patient complains in clinical decisions to provide them the best care.
During my years of clinical experience, I always have worked hard to maintain outstanding relations with my colleagues, patients and superiors. This has given me an excellent atmosphere in my workplace.
My twelve years of experience gave me the ability to learn fast from the smallest details. As part of those twelve years of experience I had the opportunity to work in Spain for the last seven years. Working abroad has developed my sensitivity to understand problems of people from different cultures, religions and countries. I also have good computing skills, having used several scientific databases. softwares, and search engines to retrieve information in the investigation of my patient’s health problems. I consider that I can adapt very easily to the new technologies because of their diversity in my previous jobs. Codification nowadays is also an important issue in the health care field and I practiced with different codification systems including ICD9 and ICD10.
