Technology and Implementation consulting focused on making enterprise search work in a multitude of organizations utilizing SharePoint 2013, SharePoint 2010 as well as open source software packages such as Lucene SOLR and other open source packages
Clients: DLA Piper, Ace Hardware, ADP, Schulte Roth Zabel, Allergan, Two Sigma Investments, etc.
DLA Piper: Architected, developed and deployed tools using SharePoint 2013, search, and custom development that allowed DLA Piper to secure new projects leveraging an Alternative Fee Arrangements and increase the book of business by over 60% in the first year and continues to grow
Ace Hardware: Architected, developed and deployed SharePoint 2013 as a platform allowing their clients (individually owned and operated store owners and employees) to interact with a WCM portal to select, order, and receive, stock and sell their goods and services in a far more efficient and effective way then with their previous deployments of Endeca.
Worked with business to establish a series and build a series of wire frames based upon specific business scenarios (i.e. out of stock, available from other Regional distribution centers, etc.)
Developed Search Completion dictionary as well as methodologies for keeping these dictionaries current
Worked with Ace folks on establishing a taxonomy, and integrating that taxonomy into their core infrastructure
Developed systems and methodologies for system back up, and recovery for additional fault tolerance.
Worked with IBM Global Services on production and deployment of application
Two Sigma Investments: Architected, and deployed a Hadoop cluster that takes financial data streams (i.e. Reuters, Bloomberg, etc.) and ingests them into a Hadoop cluster utilizing a NO-SQL source methodology in near real time. The data is then read and analyzed via a simple, easy to maintain system leveraging a Scala implementation for near real time analysis. The system, originally deployed as a six node cluster, has since been upgraded to a sixteen node cluster with automatic (via cron jobs) reductions to provide a closer to real time (with current data) store that allows financial analysts to quickly access the information.
