JOB DUTY DETAILS: I began as a Press Operator trainee and now work as a press operator. I run a Comco 9 color Flexo printing machine. Understanding of the primary components, principle functions, and purposes of the flexographic press systems including: unwind, in-feed, inking, drying / uv curing, laminating, die-cutting, waste removal, rewind / conveyor. I use general make-ready procedures to get the job ready to be completed, including impression related printing problems. I keep make ready times in compliance and jobs ran in compliance as well.

JOB DUTY DETAILS: As a Press Helper I examine job orders to determine quantities to be printed, pull stock specifications, and pull inks needed for jobs. I also mount plates, match ink, clean plates, ink rollers and pans to complete changeovers on presses to prepare for the next job to be run. Keeping the presses stocked at all times so production is always moving forward is the key for success.
