I am a graduate student at Michigan State University pursuing dual Master’s in Packaging Science & Supply Chain Management. I completed my Bachelor’s of Engineering in Printing Technology and thereafter I worked for a leading printing and packaging firm based in Sharjah, U.A.E for 28 months. This is where I was exposed to the real world and I was able to successfully learn many skills and benefit my organization. My experience includes a combination of skills in leadership, project management, data analysis, customer service, process improvement and volunteering. I will briefly explain how my skills and experience will be valuable for Packaging Engineer.

Project Management. From my experience as an Account Manager for Fast moving consumer goods firms such as Unilever and Nestle, I managed multiple projects simultaneously, worked on job-order costs and submitted Cost Estimate, worked with cross functional teams to assign tasks to different team members and completed the project before the deadline in a manufacturing environment. I had weekly meetings with clients to keep them updated and educate them about the processes involved in operations. I have used the 6 sigma processes with Supply Chain management at Michigan State University.

Process Improvement & Leadership skills. I have hands of experience of the operation process of printing of labels, boxes, bottles and the raw materials involved in these processes. I lead a team of 60 members and I leveraged my cultural skills and motivated them. I improved the process by analyzing data of the operations and saved the company total of $50K by using existing raw materials.

Package Testing. I have tested packages for various ASTM and ISTA tests like vibration, compression, shock

Packaging Designs. I have hands on experience of various packaging software like ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks, EskoStudio, Artpro, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator. I have used the mentioned software to analyze & improve package designs.
