Synopsis: SAV project involved the Data Migration of the Cards data of the House Of Frasers customers from one Third party to another.
Responsibilities:
oUsed Extract-Cleansing-Transformation-Load(ECTL) with use of Informatica tool to migrate the data from Source to Target .
oApply the Cleansing rules/logic to the programme as per the BRS documents and discussions in the meetings with the Client.
Supply Chain Management for House of Fraser, UK/Ireland:

Synopsis: Supply chain management has a database called Mercatus that provides current sales and stock information that is passed on as XML file to Vendor for maintaining stock visibility and availability on House of Fraser website.
Responsibilities:
oUsed Advanced Oracle features like External tables, Collections, Merge queries, etc and developed Procedures, packages and functions as per the requirements of the client, which were shared in a Business Requirement Specification (BRS) document.
oPerformance Tuning done on the existing queries using different tools like Explain Plan & AWR reports that were extracted for particular Run scripts which were identified and zeroed in as problem areas in the system. Maintaining Plsql procedure & packages for Supply chain management.
oTaking active part in the UAT being carried out by the User. Providing assistance to the software Testing team for their different testing phases and also helping them prepare various testing scenarios.
oProvided Post Implementation Support after the Go - live of the project.
Big Brand Event (BBE) Automation for House of Fraser(HoF), UK/Ireland :

Synopsis: Big brand event is a quarterly event held by the House of Frasers as part of festival sales. There are many Pre BBE & Post BBE related activities undertaken by the Support team, which sets up the Discounted rates data to be displayed on website.
This project was planned to give complete control of Pre BBE & Post BBE related activities to the Client. Hence giving complete control of the process to the Client, thus ensuring zero dependency on Offshore team.
Responsibilities:
oDeveloped Oracle Forms on Oracle Forms 6i tool to develop front end screen to give User rights to set the BBE dates, which is part of the BBE support activities. Scheduling cron jobs in Linux server to execute Run scripts.
oScheduled Cron jobs in Linux server to execute shell scripts.
oBuild bash shell scripts also to execute the scripts that were initially executed manually by Support team.

SMS Invoicing:

Synopsis: The Sms Invoicing System captures the counts of the Bulk Sms operator which uses Loop Mobile’s SMSC to send bulk smses by taking into account the CDRs generated, the counts which are required by B2B (Business to Business) team for the purpose of charging each Bulk Sms operator.
Responsibilities:
oDiscussing the dynamically changing requirements of the B2B team.
oAdd CRON jobs to execute. Sql files for specific time period.
oUse Unix commands like SED, Grep and extensive use of Vi editor for Unix development.
oDeveloping, Testing and Implementing them on Live environment.
oMaintaining and making changes to Procedures, packages and functions used.
oMaintaining and adding new functionalities to the Intranet portal through which B2B team would extract reports on daily basis for purpose of Invoicing.
Dispatch Application for Loop Mobile Postpaid Customers :

Synopsis: Dispatch is an application developed in-house for purpose of Bill Printing for each Bill Cycle for Postpaid customers, comprising of approx 1 million customers.
It facilitates the Bill Printing team and the Vendor for sorting and printing of data as provided by the Dispatch application.
Responsibilities:
oUse data modelling concepts to rebuild the entire Postpaid framework.
oApplied Performance Tuning concepts to tune the old process which would take around 4 hrs to complete, and reduced the total time to about 1 hour.
oAdding /changing the flow and logic of the program as per the requirement Business team.
oProviding support to CDR team when they would be executing the night batch script for Postpaid Bill cycle process every alternate night.
oAdding new functionalities to VB 6 front end, which were being used by Bill printing team post the completion of the Postpaid bill cycle.
CIMD TO SMPP System Migration:

Synopsis: System migration from CIMD SMSC platform to SMPP SMSC platform. Building an application on Core JAVA that would talk to SMSC server to send and receive SMS, and integrating with Oracle 10g APIs.
Responsibilities:
oMigrating existing logic from Pro *C code to Oracle APIs and developed Core Java application that would talk to the SMSC server for processing of requests across various applications.
