Work related to software security, commercial software development and support:

Design and implement data encryption for software security.

Design and develop secured network licensing scheme and ZONA License Server (ZLS) using Java for ZONA’s software products and provide customer service.

Draft ZLS manual and approve Chinese translation of ZLS manual.

Provide technical support to install and configure ZLS at customers’ environments.

Approve Chinese translations of technical reports.

Acquire and covert MINIVER code, developed by NASA Langley Research Center, from analysis program to optimization program using complex variable differentiation (CVD) method.

Develop a conceptual design tool with multiple disciplines, including Aero-Servo-Thermo-Propulso-Elasticity, for scramjet vehicles in an STTR project. Handle Thermo (TPS) portion of optimization.

Analyze Compact Kinetic Energy Missile (CKEM) with various heat transfer mechanisms and study potential heat shield materials, including charring ablators, to guarantee proper design and function of CKEM in an SBIR project. Review the calorimeter design to calibrate actual thermal tests. Participate in report writings and conference calls with sub-contractors.

Research and Development Engineer, Micro Integrated Systems, Mesa, AZ Apr 1999 – Mar 2002

Combine engineering and financial analyses and develop a tool to assist the build-up of industrial heating chambers, which utilize infrared emitters. Visual Basic (Access/Excel Active X controls, GUI and engineering analysis/computation) is used to control Microsoft Access and Excel in the application.

As an e1040.com contractor, use HTML and CGI (PERL) to build websites and integrate CCVS (Credit Card Verification System by Redhat), MicroCash (financial software) and MySQL for an E-commerce system.

Research and Development Engineer, R. E. Peck Associates, Tempe, AZ Oct 1998 – Mar 1999

Analyze heat transfer mechanisms in direct-fired batch furnaces and develop commercial package DBAT as a furnace design tool. Incorporate graphical utility software into the application to display results.
