GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY, DEPARTMENT OF BIOSTATISTICS Washington, DC Research Assistant January 2015 - Present
Found biomarkers in the Cancer Detection with Telomere Length Features Project
Used R and SAS to import 23,940 telomere length data from 399 excel sheets and preliminarily analysis them.
Defined 6 biomarker models, used correlation, t-test, logistic regression and ROC analysis to access and confirm biomarkers.
Insilico Medicine, Inc. Baltimore, Maryland
Bioinformatics Data Analysis Intern August 2015 - Present
Developed biomarkers for Alzheimer’s disease using neuron network techniques based on pathway analysis.
Used R to show all samples in PCA in 3D plots and colored them based on the sample class.
Read papers about bioinformatics methodology to get a better solution to remove batch effect. GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY, DEPARTMENT OF BIOSTATISTICS Washington, DC Research Assistant & Consulting Assistant September 2014 – January 2014
Offered professional statistical consulting service for medical center students in Georgetown University.
Used R to produce statistical analysis results with high quality and customized tables, plots and reports.
Wrote R markdown to make frequency table to survey questions, make stacked bar charts for group comparison, make histogram using “ggplot” package and make the scatter plot matrix using “lattice” package. GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY, DEPARTMENT OF BIOSTATISTICS Washington, DC Cancer Biomarker Data Analysis Intern June 2015 - September 2015
Read articles to understand the new developed multivariate random effects model with constrained parameters which is used to assess drug effects in xenograft models with multiple tumor outcomes.
Transformed those constrained parametric maximum likelihood estimations models in to R codes.
Used R Shiny to produce interface apps for those models, especially for the constrained parametric multivariate random effects model.
