The Municipalidad Metropolitana de Lima is the largest and only Metropolitan City Authority in Peru that has developed technical inspections to abide with edifications compliant with INDECI and CENEPRED sanctioned by modern safety based construction codes and standards such as OSHA, NFPA, to name a few. As an inspector reporting to local, private, and national AHJ the incumbent has to evaluate and render a written report together with a collection of photographic evidence on the building’s condition for safe occupancy. A multidisciplinary inspector has to:
• Engineer applications to visually identify condition that do not comply with codes and standards.
• Educate the client or serviced party of options to remediate or eliminate hazardous conditions.
• Enforce compliance of codes and standards by issuing citations derived to AHJ.
