Developing one to one business relation with Origin Seller’s in countries like Malaysia, Singapore, Europe, Argentina, and Dubai for sourcing of the material.
Originating and Identify opportunity and make proposals for buying Edible oil – Managing the execution piece of the sourced oil.
Developing relations with Various banks/CHA’s/Tankage Installations domestically and negotiating commercial terms with them.
Profiling of a group of High seas and +VAT Buyer on JNPT and Kandla in order to counter Credit Risk.

Working closely with Supply Chain Management, Execution and Operations teams and actively involved in discussing the commercials with various third party service providers.

Handling the Edible Trade
oHave been actively involved in getting new business in the Edible oil complex.
oActively involved in Edible oil Broker trading especially on Kandla and Kakinada Port.
oGet the Bid/Ask from various buyers and sellers.
oAdvance space booking and timely pricing of the space booked cargos.
oTry and exploit favorable back to back parity trade options from CNF/CIF to High seas available for buyer at various ports.
oKeeping a track of other than own trades as well for a proper price discovery.
oHave been trading 15,000 – 20,000 MT Edible oil on CNF and CIF basis.
Handling the Execution
oPrepare broker trade confirmation.
oGetting the suppliers contracts signed from the buyer.
oOn receipt of vessel nomination send to buyer.
oFollow up with buyer for the LC (Letter of Credit).
oOn completion of the vessel loading get NN documents and shipment tender.
oFollow up for Bank LOI (Letter of Indemnity/Bank Guarantee) and submit it to the disport agent.
oGet demurrage debit note if any and pass it on to buyer.
oGet shortage debit note if any in case of CIF contracts and pass it on to seller.
oHave settled more than USD 1,000,000 of demurrages of various sellers till date.
oSee to it that the OBL (Original Bill of Lading) are surrendered by the buyer and LOI cancellation is done therewith.
