Roles and Responsibilities as L2 team member

As a Linux Administrator, my roles and responsibilities encompass the below activities:

Perform all duties related to Linux system administration including User Administration (user and group account maintenance) & License management.

Understand and perform files and directories management using both graphical and command-line environments.

Configure local storage using partitions and logical volumes.

Create and configure file systems and file system attributes, such as permissions, encryption, access control lists, and network file systems.

Deploy, configure, and maintain systems, including software installation, update, and core services.

Manage users and groups, including use of a centralized directory for authentication.

Manage security, including basic firewall and SELinux configuration.

Perform operating system administration activities like new server commission, server health status monitoring and logging, capacity planning, patching, troubleshooting and fixing problems.

Troubleshoot and fix Configuration problems and Performance Problems.

Configuring a system to provide networking services, including HTTP/HTTPS, Samba, DHCP, File Transfer Protocol (FTP), network file system (NFS), Network Information Security (NIS), Server message block (SMB), Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), secure shell (SSH),Network Time Protocol (NTP), OpenSSL upgrade, VNC and Sendmail configuration
