RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

During my Internship at Asian paints India Pvt Ltd, I learnt a lot about recovery of used solvent from distillation column, which can further be used for other important purposes. Our project was focused on recovery of used solvent ( 1,3,5 trimethyl benzene ) which is an important component for preparing many pigments. We, as a group of 3, studied the properties of this compound and designed a series of heat exchanger, condenser and distillation column to recover this used solvent which is too costly. The solvent that was recovered by this method can now be used as a raw material for further pigment preparation, as the cost of manufacture is greatly reduced.

Apart from this, I also attended an inplant training at Coromandel Fertilisers India Pvt Ltd, where I learnt a lot about process safety and basics of Fertiliser manufacturing.
