In 2004 I was assigned to the Ceridian account by CompUCom, then hired by Ceridian in 2006, and then in 2010 transitioned to FIS Global. My team supported 3500+ users both on-campus and remotely and are the final point of resolution for end-user issues. I also supported 1500+ VDI users in India, Mauritius and the Philippines, that are using a wide variety of applications, both commercial off-the shelf and in-house developed. Have been involved from the beginning with Ceridian's Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) by supporting users and configuring and deploying VDI machines.
I use VMWare VSphere and VWorkspace management consoles as well as some work in the Citrix environment, to ensure the highest uptime rate in the Ceridian Enterprise. (5x9's)
Monitored network performance and health of nodes and changed port configurations as required.
Created, configured and virtualized servers as necessary to transition business units
Was involved from the beginning with Ceridian's VDI environment and assisted with initial configuration and contributed modifications to fine tune for performance and reliability.
Actively participated in the on-call rotation (1-in-4) to support this environment.
Trained other members of my team to troubleshoot and repair conditions unique to this VDI environment, as well as use scripts to automate these processes.
