I like building and designing worlds. Complete with Culture and societies. The technology and the history that comes with them. Probably because I appreciate the world. Its beginnings and the story of mankind. I believe in Humanity. Humanity should always be a factor in everything that is made or anything that is considered may it be in art or in business communications. I believe that the key to the right communication is not just in the connectivity, but primarily in the relationship between the things that need to be connected. Communicate not just to connect, but to develop and strengthen relationships.

I also believe in the spirit of FUN, whether in a group or in solitude. Gamification in any activity makes things more interesting while moving for progress. In a game play, there is always a level up in every stage. Like work or better yet, life. We strive for better things and the right attitude is to see to it that everything around us improves in order for the individual to "level up". So to sum it up, I am a versatile creative native who is an advocate of: Designing things fantastic yet grounded

Creative Director (Boohawi Studios)

June 2015 to Present

Sets the creative standards and objectives so that everyone understands them. Creates a culture of honest engagement, promotes teamwork and respects individual creativity.

Have successfully pitched ideations and projects for companies and institutions requiring interactive media directions. Companies and institutions include GMA7, Aidea, University of Santo Tomas Medical Alumni Association, Enchanted Kingdom and Artikulo Uno.

Boohawi Studios is a newly established game development company run by management mavericks, creative wild cards and digital native gamers whose unified objective is to make innovations in the game development and web design creative industry aside from providing quality creative services for business entities and individuals.

Creative Director (Dark Particle Studios)

July 2014 to June 2015

Functions included setting of the creative directions of game development concepts as well as special projects such as VFX and Movie productions. Overseeing all creative operations and provides mentorship for junior creatives.

Created proof of concept pitches and presentations based on client requirements for special events, permanent installations, apps and games. Visual Concept Design Lead(Talent at ABS-CBN Broadcasting Network) August 2012 to July 2014(Creative Consultant Status) Established and created the visual concept and style guide for “Juan Dela Cruz at ang Bakal na Krus” and Dyesabel. Both Fantasy based TV series. Requirements include designing characters, costumes, props, sets and other design elements.

Functioned as creative consultant for visual narrative executions, merchandising and nationwide promotions which contributed to the shows over-all viewership ratings.

Creative Designer/Supervisor (MCMM Netherlands/Microsourcing) February 2012 to August 3

Visually or artistically directed various game development projects for a Dutch based company. Trained and coached intermediate and junior artists. Supervised 33 individuals from different teams and departments: 2D Concept Artists, 3D Modeler and/or texture artists, web designers/programmers and 3D game programmers.

Resource Speaker for Education and Technology oriented events Has been invited for special events to share knowledge in profession or industry to audiences coming from both the academe and the industry. Events include The Media Summit 2014: held in Adamson University, Techtutor 6

(2014): Mobile E-Learning held in SM Megamall and Techtutor 5 (2013): Gamification of Education held in MOA Arena which had more than 10,000 audience/attendees.

Conceptual Designer for Television and Film(Freelance) 1996 to present

Have done conceptual design work(from character design to set design) for various Philippine productions in film, T.V. and advertising. Initiated the modernization of conceptual designing for Philippine movie and TV productions in the late 1990’s.

Introduced the idea of Gamified World building for TV Fantasy/sci-fi Series in successful projects such as GMA7’s Encantadia, Mulawin, Darna, Atlantika and Juaquin Bordado, ABS CBN’s Juan Dela Cruz at ang Bakal na Cruz and Mars Ravelo’s Dyesabel.
