MAR 2008 to April 2015 Fleet Maintenance Manager – FedEx Freight, Inc., Atlanta, GA

Fleet Maintenance Manager for the largest FedEx fleet shop in the Southeastern Division providing maintenance, supply, and logistical support to over 500 commercial carriers. In addition, oversee support to thirteen non-shop service centers nationwide while leading and mentoring a staff of thirty-one personnel – including three mid-level supervisors and twenty-eight service technicians. Use Lean Six Sigma tools to monitor and analyze opportunity to cut costs and improve efficiencies through controlled inventories and safe work environments. Spotless safety record includes 1380 days without lost time or injury. Subject Matter Expert (SME) for OSHA inspections, policies, procedures, and compliance. Performs all administrative functions associated with leading and managing a team of thirty-one personnel in a strict, cost aware, commercial fleet. Senior enlisted logistical advisor to the Command Group at Fort Gillem, Georgia. Supervised the maintenance, operations, and supply acquisition training to more than nine thousand Active Duty Army, Reserve, and National Guard Soldiers. Oversaw a $5M requisitioning, receiving, distribution, maintenance, and logistical program that resulted in minimal downtime for all assigned equipment including heavy wheeled, and track vehicles. Tracked the maintenance and supply trend analysis for more than 3 Army Brigades, ensuring each maintained the highest possible operational readiness rate. Advised a number of individual Program Managers on research alternatives to acquisition issues related to projects under development. JAN 1999 to APR 2004 First Sergeant, Maintenance Control Supervisor – Fort Stewart, GA

Senior First Sergeant and Maintenance Control Supervisor for Brigade level Support Area. Lead forward support into

Operation Iraqi Freedom with seventy-nine soldiers, $50M worth of equipment and $3M worth of shop supplies and

stock. Sustained the U.S. Army’s 3rd Infantry Division “Thunder Run” into Baghdad with flawless logistical,

maintenance, and acquisition support. Consistently demonstrated an impeccable safety reputation with no loss of

life or equipment in a hostile environment. Continuously improved cost savings with enhanced inventory standards,

maintenance checks, and diagnostic repairs to heavy wheeled and track vehicles. Built high-level working

relationships with key leaders and developed technical policies, maintenance reports, and safety reports for
