Successfully delivered service/product integration projects in three critical, time to market, distinct $1 million projects in these industries. Served as CTO, program director and development manager. The security components were integrated into a solid software solution that met client expectation and was successfully deployed.
Managed a delivery of multi-million integration projects, providing a security framework for the successful B2B Digital Market Maker (eventually deployed by Commerce One). The core technical solution implemented Single Sign On into multiple back-end legacy systems, using PKI (C++, Java, JNI, Oracle and Secure LDAP).
Led the design and implementation of a $3M project to develop enterprise wide security using PKI for United Healthcare / Ingenix.
Directed the custom development of a $ 1 million solution that provides secure, reliable and scalable digital content transfer over unsecured networks (Internet) for a Fortune 500 company. The solution was built entirely using Java technology (J2EE, JINI, JNDI, JavaSpaces) and is used to secure transfer of large volumes of financially and privacy sensitive data between the company and its strategic trading partners.
Implementation Lead for World Wide Hotel Systems - Micros Systems, 1992 to 1995
Recruited by the CEO to help transform this leading Point of Sale (Restaurant Cash Registers) into a world leader in Hotel Computer Systems. Managed the development and worldwide deployment of Micros first Hotel Management System. Led software design, product development, testing, marketing and support of the company's initial hotel system offering. Managed the product group software development team and the roll out to major hotel chains.
Managed the deployment of Progress 4GL, C and Assembler to develop successful hotel management system, utilizing SCO UNIX (V.3.2), version control and extensive serial interface programming.
Initiated the timely release of new versions into both domestic and international distribution channels with installation and upgrade procedures, documentation, and training programs. Grew sales by 100% including full roll out to major hotel chains with over 100 sites annually.
Implemented on-going software enhancement to a client server (Novell NetWare 3.X) based system. Provided on going implementation of software enhancements covering telephony interfaces and credit card processing producing ad-on recurring revenues of $ 1/2 million annually.
