Ericsson is a world leader in the rapidly changing environment of communications technology – providing equipment, software and services to enable transformation through mobility. At Ericsson I currently install, configure, integrate, troubleshoot, and call test RBS (BTS) equipment in the Ericsson 6201, 6102, and 3206 cabinets for such providers as Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon. Maintain RBS inventory, perform yearly audits/calibrations, and perform preventative maintenance on cell sites. Troubleshoot T1's, fiber, and microwave backhaul as well as routing and connectivity issues. Perform civil audits during and after construction of new and in service cell sites. Designed and developed testing procedures for testing VSWR on the DUL in the Sprint RBS cabinet, created training documents, and trained the local field techs both remotely and in person nationwide. Use Smart laptop, OSS, Vortex, and Element Manager to facilitate troubleshooting, maintenance, and integration. Currently hold Ericsson and AT&T certifications for integration of WCDMA, UMTS, LTE and XLTE services.

Alcatel-Lucent is the trusted transformation partner of service providers, enterprises, strategic industries such as defense, energy, healthcare, transportation, and governments worldwide, providing solutions to deliver voice, data and video communication services to end-users. At Alcatel-Lucent I designed, setup, and tested enterprise microwave back-haul voice and data solutions ranging from 2Ghz to 23Ghz. Systems consist of but are not limited to MDR-8000 and MDR-9500 radios, 7705 switches/routers, 7750 routers, channel banks, SNMP management, and alarm encoders. Provide and setup management via 5620 SAM and TSM-8000 servers. Setup and test T1, DS1, OC3, and Ethernet circuits. Assist in training customers and consultants on the use and implementation of the systems, documentation, data collection and Layer 1, Layer 2 and Layer 3 traffic. Duties prior were to manage the testing solutions for the high speed, high volume CDMA product line which includes the test capabilities for the W-CDMA based UMTS, AWS, CDMA PCS and Cellular, LTE 3GPP 4G, and WTD Microwave point to point product lines. Testing is done using Labview and Teststand based test software in conjunction with RMT, NEM, and NETO site communications software. Test and troubleshoot microwave systems from 700Mhz to 23Ghz. Configured and maintain LAMP servers (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP) for data collection and process implementation. Programmed data collection tools and process tools using HTML, PHP, Javascript, and MySQL. Implemented processes and documentation to comply with TL9000. Implemented training for operators and technicians on the different product lines and product configurations. Member of many quality and cross functional teams where by capturing and presenting data to the design groups and vendors product yield, quality, and product throughput is increased.

CTDI has provided groundbreaking maintenance service solutions to the telecommunications industry since 1975. CTDI has provided the following services Wireline Repair & Logistics, Wireless Repair & Logistics, Engineering and Installation services, Global Supply Chain solutions, and Product Engineering & Manufacturing. At CTDI I designed and developed test solutions for high power RF amplifiers and filters. I was responsible for designing the test fixtures, cabling solutions, test set software, and product flow. Each test set included a Network Analyzer, Power Meter, Spectrum Analyzer, DC power supply, I2C Digital Interface, JTAG Interface, and computer control. Each Test fixture included Attenuators, Couplers, Combiners, Cabling, Terminations, Adapters, and Connectors. All test software was written in Visual Basic and all aspects of test were documented with Microsoft Word and Excel. During repair of the amplifiers and filters test time reductions, troubleshooting, data collection, data analysis, and cost reductions were of utmost importance.

Currently I service and sell a multitude of RF Test Equipment. I have sold Test Equipment primarily to Electronic Sales, Service and Rental Companies, Universities, and I have even sold items to NASA and other Aerospace Companies. My client list is diverse and extensive. My products were bought at an auction and are primarily sold on EBay. I have extensive knowledge of many different items of Test Equipment that has allowed me to purchase and sell these items. The items are warehoused and before they are sold are tested thoroughly before they are packaged and shipped. I sell and service items such as Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, RF Power Amplifiers, DC and AC Power supplies, Power Meters, Signal Generators, VXI Chassis’s and Cards, Digital Multimeters, Transmission Analyzers, Audio Analyzers, Test Sets, Logic Analyzers, and Test Equipment Accessories. Along with the Test Equipment I also sell passive and active components such as RF Adapters, Microwave Switches, Power Combiners and Splitters, Attenuators, UHF and Microwave Connectors, Couplers, Rigid and Semi-Rigid Cables, Terminations, Calibration Kits, and RF Probes. These items can operate anywhere in the range of DC to 20Ghz and some can handle RF Power as high as 500Watts.

ELECTRICAL RF HARDWARE TEST ENGINEER

Andrew Corporation designs, manufactures, and distributes the telecommunications industry’s largest portfolio of single-carrier and multi-carrier RF power amplifiers for use in Cellular, PCS/DCS, CDMA, W/CDMA, and 3G systems. Andrew Corporation provides the components necessary to build a base station from the top of the tower to the radio cabinet: antennas, cables, connectors, assemblies, amplifiers, lightning protection, filters, diplexers, combiners, and accessories. Andrew Corporation is a worldwide provider of these components and systems. My duties at Andrew Corporation were to provide test solutions for RF power amplifiers from the design phase up to and including the high volume manufacturing of the amplifiers. I was responsible for designing the test set, test fixture, cabling solutions, and test set software. Each test set included Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, DC and AC Power Supplies, Signal Generators, Switching, and Computer control. Each test fixture included Attenuators, Couplers, Combiners, Switching, Cabling, RF Power Amplifiers, Terminations, Adapters, and Connectors. All test software was written in Visual Basic and all aspects of test were documented with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Visio, QSTATS, and Clearcase. Amplifiers that I maintained could be anywhere from 10Watts to 120Watts of power in the PCS, CDMA, W/CDMA, and 3G bands and were manufactured in the thousands. During manufacture of the amplifiers test time reductions, troubleshooting, data collection, and data analysis were a priority along with the design of new test solutions for upcoming amplifiers.

Lucent Technologies is a world leader in the designing, integrating, deploying and maintaining of in-building wireless systems including technologies such as CDMA/CDMA2000, TDMA, GSM/GPRS, W-CDMA/UMTS, 802.11x and DEN. Lucent Technologies globally services a wide variety of mobile operators and enterprises. My duties at Lucent Technologies were to provide test solutions for RF power amplifiers from the design phase up to and including the high volume manufacturing of the amplifiers. I was responsible for designing the test set, test fixture, cabling solutions, and test set software. Each test set included Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, DC and AC Power Supplies, Signal Generators, Switching, and Computer control. Each test fixture included Attenuators, Couplers, Combiners, Switching, Cabling, RF Power Amplifiers, Terminations, Adapters, and Connectors. All test software was written in C/C++, Labview, or Visual Basic and all aspects of test were documented with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Visio, QSTATS, AutoCAD, and various Lucent Technologies proprietary software packages. I maintained various circuit packs including amplifiers, pre-amplifiers, controllers, power supplies, and feedback circuits that were of the Analog, PCS, CDMA/CDMA2000, and TDMA variety and could be anywhere from 10Watts to 80Watts of power. During the manufacture of the thousands of circuit packs; test time reductions, troubleshooting, data collection, and data analysis were a priority along with the design of new test solutions for upcoming amplifiers. The proper training, documentation, and instruction were also given to the operators of the equipment and in some cases classes that I instructed were held as well. During my stay at Lucent Technologies I received training certificates for the completion of Labview, C, C++, Visual Basic, and Object Oriented Programming Classes. I received the Bell Laboratories President’s Silver Award for the Flexent CDMA Release 1 Microcell and AP Project and the Bell Laboratories President’s Silver Award for the CDMA Modcell Project.
