Designed and developed a New XML based Utility utilizing RPGIV on the i-Series. Created Inbound (Receiving) and Outbound (Sending) infrastructure using CGIDEV2 and HTML Templates. This project uses RPG-ILE Procedures, %BIF’s, Modules, and Service Programs and is replacing the existing EDI Infrastructure

We were involved in upgrading the Code from RPGII and RPGIII to use the latest RPG-Free techniques including %BIF’s, using DS to read and write from, and embedded SQL.

Implemented Aldon Change Management System (CMS) and synchronized test environment with production. Used system tools to identify production versus development and/or old source.

Consultant

Managed a 3 person team to redesign the Bonded Warehouse system. This project added needed functionality to shipping; receiving; cycle counting; data reconsolidation; monthly closing; inventory; and billing processes. Integrated the Bonded Warehouse system into the Knighted Computer Systems (KCS) warehousing system. Nippon realized over $1 million in saving by combining these systems.

Designed and implemented changes for the Cargo-IMP Project . This project required programs to send and receive data to and from airlines regarding the status of shipments tracked by master bill of lading.

Member of a 14 person Air Import/Export project development team. Enhanced system for Y2K. Enhanced Air Export system interfaces with the U.S. Customs AES System. Upgraded system to use Websphere MQ Series. Served as the Liaison between the U.S. and the corporate headquarters in Japan.

Developed Ocean Import/Export enhancements to consolidated House B/L shipment information into to a Master B/L. This information is then utilized to create brokerage data which is sent to customs. This project eliminated the need for manual line item consolidation efforts.

Developed Automated Brokerage Interface (ABI) EDI interfaces.

Developed EDI X12 ANSI messages, EDIFACT INVOIC messages and custom program to generate message details. The X12 messages include versions 3040, 3060, 3070, 4010, and 5010.

Enhanced Knighted Computer Systems warehousing and distribution package. These enhancements included:

Serial Scan Function to allow multiple users to scan the same order.

Rewrote the reverse pick function.

Created Bar Code for ANZAC printers.

Created Bar Code for ZEBRA printers using RPG and ZPLII commands (i.e. UCC labels, SCC labels). The label types created were 3 of 9, EAN 128, UCC 128, and industrial 2 of 5.

Created Custom Bill of Lading, Pick Slips, and Packing Sheets.

Created a function for sending ASN Data and detailed shipping.

Connected WMS to UPS world ship allowing automated shipment of orders with data received from UPS world ship.

Connected WMS to Federal Express server manager allowing automated shipment of orders with data received from Federal Express server manager.
