Engineering Projects

Developer, Digital Systems Project(September 2015 - August 2015)

• Gained knowledge about logic gates, finite state

machines(FSMs),latches,etc. extensively

• Gained experience on programming using Verilog and implementing into the FPGA of Altera De1-Soc Board

• Developed a two player Sumo Fight game, implemented it into the FPGA and demonstrated into a monitor in front of peers and professors. The game took 3 weeks to be developed successfully

Team member, Increasing the efficiency of a Robotics lab in UofT(January 2015 - April 2015)

• Client - Adam Chan, 4th year ECE, University of Toronto

• Designed a solution in a team of 5 members to increase the available workspace in the lab and increase the storage space in the lab

• Alternative solutions were also generated by studying the problem statement, stakeholders and client statements

• The final solution was presented in front of clients, other competing teams for the same project, and professors

Team member, Designing a device to maintain vaccines in cold chain(September 2014 - December 2014)

• Designed a solution in a team of 5 members which can preserve the vaccines at temperatures ranging from +2 C to +8 C for 12 hours without electricity

• Generated documentation and alternative solutions. Provided why the chosen solution was the best using engineering methods and statistical models

Work/Volunteer Experience

Volunteer, Jaago Foundation and Volunteer for Bangladesh(November 2012)

• Raised money to establish free of cost schools for underprivileged children in Bangladesh

• Gained communication skills while persuading people to give charity and make them understand the cause

Head volunteer, Mastermind Community Service Club, Mastermind

(September 2012 - June 2014)

• Participated in various community service events such as raising money for under privileged children, donation for winter clothes and campaigning about cleanliness

• Gained leadership experience while taking care of junior peers as they carried out their assigned tasks
