-1000 hours PRO ENGINEER experience, versions 17 to 2004 including: advanced solid modeling, surface modeling, assembly modeling, cable and harness design, sheet metal, electronics packaging, drafting, piping and tooling design.

-500 hours CATIA versions 4.16-4.19 and 5.6 experience including solid modeling, drafting, assemblies, intermediate surfacing, generative shape module, sheet metal and cabling.

-8000+ hours SOLID EDGE, solid modeling, very large assemblies, cabling and harness design, electronic packaging, etc.

-10000 hours of 2D Autocad.

●Technical Writing Skills: Although I am an average Technical Writer, can quickly polish the results into above average using outside resources and in house review/checking. Extensive experience writing assembly manuals, user manuals, assembly/disassembly instructions, material and product specifications, operating manuals, technical manuals, etc. for multimillion dollar projects.

●MRP: 4 years heavy SAP experience. Previously used more basic MRP/document control systems.

●Injection Molding Design Experience: 11000 hours total, 4000 hours polypro injection mold modifications, many new mold designs for Becton Dickinson Sharps Disposal Systems, 4000 hours ABS mold mods and mold design, Moldflow software for DE3 design house, 3000 hours injection molding design experience using Chinese mold manufacturers for electronic enclosures for Petsafe Radio Systems. Have also done vacuum forming molds, die cast molds and blow molding.

●Project management experience: As the engineering hub at ACJCC I often had to clean up/check/rework project manager’s results, reworking thousands of documents. Otherwise was project manager 7 years at ACJCC, 2 years DE3, etc..

●Composites: hands on experience with hand layups, composite design, carbon and s glass tapes.

●Rotating machinery: have designed and built over 100 million$ in cryogenic pump/motor systems and DC servomotors in use today around the world.

●Pressure vessels: Have designed using pressure vessel design software and built over 200 systems, 100 million $ in cryogenic pressure vessels in use today around the world.

●Mechanical Packaging of Electronics: About 30 projects for two design houses/manufacturers. Have built many highly complex electronics projects.

●Tooling experience: Have designed 10+ injection molds for DE3, mold design changes, dozens of casting molds, several hundred hydro-test tooling fixtures, numerous aftermarket maintenance stands, transportation crating, overseas shipping packaging for million $ pumps, numerous multimillion dollar large skid systems, etc., etc., etc..

●Commercial/Instrument rated Pilot, Part 135 Charter license. Advanced class Amateur Radio including substantial antenna design experience.

ATTRIBUTES:

●SPEED and EXPERIENCE: Able to quickly take concepts, avoid the many pitfalls and turn those concepts into prototypes, refine the prototypes, develop necessary tooling and take them into production.

●Have taken many products from conception to production. Have performed many FMEAs, DFAs in groups and individually. Have used QFD to design inspection parameters for many new products. Have used DOE principles many times.

●Extensive experience working in groups, cross functional teams, with government agencies (FCC, FDA, FAA, county and state) UL, supervising projects, employees and subcontractors.

●Extensive experience interfacing with vendors and clients. Can deliver presentations to groups.

●Self-starter, good interpersonal relations skills and a team player.

●I have delivered numerous highly profitable, highly reliable products to the marketplace. Total sales of these products is about 150 million dollars.

5-04 to 4-15 Carter Cryogenics,(became ACJCC) Atlas Copco, JC Carter Branch, Newport Beach, Ca.

For the last 4 years, was the company engineering hub, the interface between Sales and

Engineering. Using complex Master Model Assemblies & Master drawings

(which I developed) and with extensive configuration tables, generated ALL the new

Quotations and ALL new projects for a 25 million dollar per year cryogenic pump/system

Company, handing off the projects at the half way point for the designers to finish.

9-02 to 3-04-04 RADIO SYSTEMS CORPORATION Escondido, CA

Senior Design Engineer

Designed mechanical packaging for RF based pet training products and pet consumer products. Products included RF electronic dog training collars and transmitters, a self cleaning electronic cat litter box and invisible fences.

6-02 to 9-02 WATERPIK TECHNOLOGIES Petaluma, CA

Design Engineer-temp, worked on swimming pool valves and pumps.

4-00 to 3-02 DE3 (Design Engineering Cubed) Santa Ana, CA

Senior Design Engineer

Developed over 50 new products. Approximately 20 were in production. Some examples include: A 2 shot dart firing police Taser gun, several new high volume box cutter knife designs, the EPT (early pregnancy test) packaging, gel electrophoresis cholesterol testing systems, Zoom teeth whitening lamp system (used by millions), portable police fingerprint scanner, numerous diagnostic and quantitative drug testing systems, components for Intel motherboards, LED lighted tools, CST stress meter electronics packaging, and numerous products for a low voltage down lighting company including design and mechanical packaging of RF transmitters and receivers. Took products from concept, through R&D, reiterative model and assembly design, reiterative prototype generation, production planning, vendor contracts, marketing analysis, UL, FDA and FCC approval, production tooling, labels and packaging and post manufacturing refinements.

2-00 to 6-00 KRh THERMAL SYSTEMS Irvine, CA

Design Engineer

Designed injection molded, thermoformed, sheet metal, mechanical and wire formed components for commercial microwave oven and freezer PLC and microprocessor based color LCD vending machines. Designed large cabling harness assemblies using connector library.

6-98 to 11-99 BECTON DICKINSON SHARPS DISPOSAL SYSTEMS Oceanside, CA

Injection Molded Plastics Designer:

Designed and/or redesigned and modified hundreds of different designs of polypro sharps containers.

Drafted and managed drafting of level 5 ANSI Y14.5 aerospace and mechanical database linked drawings for Lockheed and the military using AutoCAD 12-14.
