PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

TEMPORARY SERVICE EMPLOYMENTS

CREE INC (10/2014- 2/2015): Manufacture and assemble LED lighting fixtures through each individual stage of production from start to finish.

ASSEMBLED PRODUCTS (4/2015-6/2015): Assembled circuit boards for various types of equipment. Soldered surface mount and though hole components onto the PCBs and refurbishing components from one board to another.

INI POWER SYSTEMS (6/2015-8/2015): Manufactured portable fuel and hybrid powered generators. Mechanical work included modifying carburetors, pull starts, and remote starts for the generators and other types of simple mechanical work to bring the generators up to specs.

KIDDE AEROSPACE AND DEFENSE (2008-2009)

Repair and manufacturing of circuit boards down to the component level for commercial and military airline smoke detection systems. Instruments such as microscopes, computer software, block diagram and schematic was used to troubleshoot the components on the circuit board. Soldering equipment was also used to repair the faulty components on the board.

ECHOSTAR DISH NETWORK (2007-2008)

Install and repair of satellite television and internet systems and equipment which included routing line to and from the satellite dish throughout the entire home. Meet and greet customers at their home to install their satellite service via high definition or basic service. Also install dishes on the ground and the roof.

COMMUNICATION ELECTRONIC TECHNICIANS

(UNITED STATES NAVY, (2000-2007))

Duties included troubleshooting, corrective, and preventative maintenance on shore base and ship board communications equipment which was critical to the mission of ships at sea. Other responsibilities included, troubleshooting and repairing of two-sided printed circuit boards down to the component level. Disassembling, replacing, and repairing connectors and components upon circuit boards returning the cards to naval operational and specifications using the Huntron 2000 soldering equipment.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

Saving the USS Theodore Roosevelt (Navy aircraft carrier ship) and the Navy over $250,000 in one fiscal year in repair parts by repairing faulty circuit cards avoiding depot level turn-ins and the purchasing of new replacement cards.

RESULT: Awarded the Navy Achievement Medal

Developed 3 gold disk programs for 3 different circuit cards widely used throughout the entire Navy. These gold disks give support and troubleshooting aid to electronic technicians in all branches of the military.

RESULT: Letter of Accommodation from the captain of USS Theodore Roosevelt

Becoming knowledgeable and efficient in maintaining various naval communications systems from equipment such as FCC-100 transceivers, WSC-3 radios, T-1 lines for ship’s communications pier side, and many more.

Mentored and instructed entry level, new to the command technicians in becoming qualified and capable of performing the demanding duties of their day to day job requirements.
