Operations Manager for a 10mm ISO Certified Custom Injection Molder of tight tolerance, high performance parts and resins serving the oil and energy, aerospace, defense, industrial, friction and wear, power transmission devices, and business equipment markets.

Daily Activities:

Planning of all manufacturing operations, including molding floor, tool room scheduling, warehouse activities, maintenance, shipping receiving, post molding operations, inventory control, building and facilities.

ISO compliance and enforcement, assuring we maintain ISO certification

Set daily production schedule for all manufacturing operations and then assuring that all commitments are met

Perform all purchasing, manage vendor base, ensure that we are getting the best pricing available, and that vendors are performing to high levels

Participate in all meetings, acting as second senior manager just under our general manager

Report directly to the general manager

Main liaison and contact between sales, engineering and manufacturing

Bottom line financial responsibilities across all manufacturing related activities, have produced year after year cost reductions in the manufacturing areas near the 5% level of cost reductions, and reduced scrap and rework to .5%

Set forecasts and budgets, ensure these are monitored and met

Key person for the resolution of all current problems and key person for identifying potential future problems, Participate in all quoting and contract review. Recommend and identify all capital equipment or system expenditures
