ORACLE DBA

GDBA team was responsible for the database administration within the Data Center Consolidation (DCC) Program. The project was mainly for the consolidation of the about 110 datacenters located all around the world into six datacenters in 3 locations within US for easier maintenance. All the databases in DCC followed DCC standards having the same character set and the same backup policy (RMAN). Every database was configured in OEM for monitoring purposes. GDBA team provided technical support to Application team before and after MTP.

Responsibilities:

Created RAC and standalone databases for PROD, ITG and dev environment.

Configured databases in OEM 10g grid control for maintenance and monitoring.

Adhere to DCC standards and security policies for the databases.

Performed migration from Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g on different platforms (Sun Solaris, Linux, HP UX and Windows) to Oracle 10g Release2 RAC database on HP UX.

Performed performance tuning of migrated applications using ADDM / AWR, perfstat.
