JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Design, Engineering and Planning: Keep abreast of advances in technologies related to those currently installed in RapidScale/CompeteNet’s infrastructure and proactively propose update to the current systems. Assist in the development of RapidScale/CompeteNet’s engineering standards; implementing standards based solutions, and ensure solutions meet business and support requirements. Planner and implementing major software upgrades, ensuring change RapidScale/CompeteNet’s procedures are followed.

2.Production Engineer: Transfer application, data and assets to a viable medium for customers, integration of production systems including DVD/CD duplication systems, Batch Imaging Storage Network, networking production equipment.

3.Maintenance and Administration: Responsible for review, test, and implementation of patches to server environment, in coordination with security conditions. Works with all teams necessary to ensure effective data security, integrity and backup/recovery. Responsible for regularly updating and testing procedures. Maintain and continuously update effective documentation of all system’s infrastructure.

4.Performance Monitoring and Systems Management: Ensure stable performance of the server environments through performance monitoring and tuning. Assist in capacity planning, workload and forecasting techniques to ensure adequate storage, processing power and performance to run RapidScale/CompeteNet’s related systems. Monitor all systems 24/7 and respond as appropriate to correct any failures in these systems. Recommend and implement any software and hardware solution to help maximum uptime and critical network components.

5.Support: serve as tier II and III support for systems related escalations. Assume responsibility for solution resolution. Ensure all changes are properly submitted through the management process. Actively train and assist employees on application and hardware usage.
